Frequently Asked Questions

What is TMS Therapy?

NeuroStar TMS Therapy is a new treatment for Major Depressive Disorder in adult patients who have failed to receive satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant medication. NeuroStar uses transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to target key areas of the brain that are underactive in people with depression.* It is not ECT (electroconvulsive therapy).

What insurances do we accept?

We are participating providers with most insurance companies. However, each provider individually participates with different insurances. This makes it very important you know exactly which insurance carrier you have so we can schedule you with the right clinician.

What is an EAP?

An EAP is an Employee Assistance Program that is provided to you by your employer. It is a benefit that offers a certain number of sessions free to you with no co-pay. You may ask your Human Resources Department if this benefit is available to you. This benefit does not apply to sessions with an M.D., such as any of our Psychiatrists.

What is my co-pay?

You can find out this information by calling the number on the back of your insurance card to verify your mental health benefits. You may find your co-pay on the front of your insurance card. We often fall under a specialist co-pay.
